TammyJo Eckhart, PhD, has been part of the BDSM community since 1990. A published author of nine books, she writes in a wide range of genres including science fiction, fantasy, contemporary, horror, and historical fiction. Her latest book is non-fiction At Her Feet that she co-authored with her slave, Fox. In it they discuss the everyday challenges and victories for 24/7 or M/s couples of the femdom orientation though they believe their work stretches beyond sex identity into the realities of living not just playing in the Scene. She has been a leader in several BDSM organizations ranging from the AppleMunch to two difference university groups (Conversio Virium and Headspace) as well as a private support group for. She has also been an educator speaking in front of dozens of college classes as well as private consultations as a mentor and trainer in NYC and Indiana. Her published article "BDSM and Feminism: An Insider's View" is routinely cited by others investigating similar subjects. In her writing and in real life, she has been told that she shatters the common stereotypes of dominant women by being "real" and not a "fetish doll". As of the summer of 2011, her "kinky family" is comprised of Tom, her husband since 1992, and Fox, her slave since 1999. Her latest fiction book is Beyond the Softness of His Fur, the first of an ebook trilogy from Circlet Press coming out May 2011.
