His most recent book, SlaveCraft, now in its fourth printing, has offered us a view into the inner dynamics of erotic servitude that has been both compelling and controversial

In 1989, judges chose Guy to serve as the 11th International Mr. Leather, and the second Mr. National Leather Association concurrently.

In 2000, the Leather Archives and Museum honored him as a Centurion. Baldwin was awarded both the Pantheon and Dominion Lifetime Achievement Awards and in 2004, he was inducted into the Society of Janus Hall of Fame.

In 2008, and for only the third time in its 30 year history, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force honored Guy with its Leather Leadership Award.
